COST A13
"Changing Labour Markets,
Welfare Policies and Citizenship"


The purpose of COST A13 Action: "Changing Labour Markets, Welfare Policies and Citizenship" is crossnaionally to examine the effects of social security systems adn welfare institutions on the processes of social political marginalisation. The Action emphasizes the need of differentiating among different segments of the population which are often lumped together as "marginalised". As such, 4 working groups has been established in order to approach problems of social and political marginalisation from different angles; i.e. (1) unemployment, (2) gender, (3) early exit/early retirement, (4) youth employment/unemployment.
The Action started in March 1998 and will remain in force for five years.
